MASSAGE FAQ
How can massage help me? --Most
people are not aware of how tense their body is due to
stress and the activities of daily living. Massage
increases circulation, causes relaxation, increases
range of motion in the joints, softens skin, and
basically just makes you feel so much better.
What is Aromatic Massage?--
The use of therapeutic grade essential
oils combined with massage can enhance any massage
experience. For years therapists have been using
essential oils in combination with massage to reduce
stress, increase muscle relaxation, and relieve
discomfort among other things. It is a fabulous
adjunct to massage and Reiki.
How Long is a Session?--
Sessions are 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes long. This does vary
according to what individual needs require.
Do you accept Credit cards?--
Yes we accept discover, visa, and master card.
How do I know which kind of
massage to have?-- Generally
speaking to the therapist will help you to decide what
kind of massage experience you are looking for. A
great way to help yourself in choosing is to decide if
you are looking for relaxation, therapeutic, or a more
spiritually based treatment. When in doubt just
give us a call.
How often should I receive a
massage?--If you are someone who
works at a computer, a construction worker, landscaper,
nurse, cna, surgeon, if you are on your feet all day, if
you are picking up children daily, if you are a
mechanic, a teacher, a massage therapist, a lineman, a
truck driver or someone that is a trouble shooter
driving around all day... You get the picture if you are
doing these things and more, if you are feeling stressed
and the tension, discomfort, and rigidity of tired and
sore muscles is taking over your body; massage can and
will stop the madness that you feel in your body, but
ONLY if you come on a regular basis. Just as it
has taken many years for your body to learn to feel
tense it takes some time for the body to learn to be
relaxed. One massage can feel nice, like a treat,
and the relief generally lasts for just a few days.
A regular program such as every other week will begin to
re-educate your body to be more relaxed, supple, and
comfortable in your daily life. You will feel better,
handle stressors more easily, and be a nicer person...
absolutely PRICELESS!
Why would I want to have a stone
massage?--Stone massage is
extremely good for those who relax more easily with
heat. It is a great first time massage because
heat tends to cause muscles to relax more fully.
The treatments that include stones are a favorite of
clients because it takes them out of the worry and
discomfort of their bodies into a state of relaxation
that many people do not attain on a daily basis.
Many cultures around the world look to stones as a
grounding force, causing us to actually feel grounded
and not floating around in our lives. For those
looking for a grounding and relaxing experience that
spans body, mind, and spirit this is truly the treatment
for you.
Why Raindrop Technique?--
Raindrop Technique was created by Gary Young of Young
Living Essential Oils. It is a treatment that has
given many people relief from muscular discomfort
surrounding the spine, relief from shoulder and mid-back
discomfort, and even has helped with increasing range of
motion in exercise. The benefits can far outweigh
the relief of physical complaints because of how
thoroughly the essential oils can support the physical
body, brain, emotions, and even spirit. This
technique can be tailored for specific issues such as
physical discomfort and tension as well as to support
the emotional and spiritual needs of the client.
Each oil supports specific emotions and physical
functions of the body. It is certainly a favorite
of clients searching for a meaningful and healthy
massage program!
Can I blend different treatments
together?--Yes you certainly can
assist the therapist in crafting the perfect program for
you. In fact this is a more powerful way to make
huge leaps in your personal well-being and health.
You will find that Reiki, essential oils, massage
cupping, hot stones, and ETPS can be added to any
massage therapy. Essential oils and stones can be
added to a Reiki session easily. Reiki and
essential oils can be added to hypnosis if you
like. It is also possible to book the therapists
time to do hypnosis and bodywork during the same
session. Such as receiving a Massage and then a
Hypnosis session or visa versa.
